Guilford Elementary School has a long history starting as one of only four schools in the county for African American children. It remains a valued part of the community today with its celebration of diversity and nurturing of academic achievement and social emotional learning. It is both Maryland Green School Certified and a recipient of ECO Schools USA’s Green Award, as well as having PBIS School Recognitions. Select neighborhoods from Owen Brown and Kings Contrivance are served by Guilford Elementary.
